Our service, BestCase, brings together a comprehensive collection of cases with the select reported versions from the Dominion Law Reports (since 1912), Canadian Criminal Cases (since 1898), Labour Arbitration Cases (since 1948) and our case summaries (All-Canada Weekly Summaries, Canadian Labour Arbitration Summaries, Weekly Criminal Bulletin and several others). As Canada Law Book’s case law collection is no longer available on Quicklaw LexisNexis, some of Canada`s leading cases are only available on BestCase.

And, this year, our online research services include a new feature to help you to quickly identify the leading cases from Canada Law Book’s collection of law reports. These ‘Select Decisions’ will have a beside the case name in your search results and on the first page of the case itself. Select Decisions have been identified by experts as having precedential value and checking these cases first will streamline your research process.

Our online services also include PDF images of the cases as they were published in our law reports (with headnotes) and in their original format as issued by the courts. So, you can just download a PDF version to submit and have complete trust in the source of your cases.

I am also pleased to tell you that more and more of our publications are printed on paper that has been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), which supports environmentally appropriate and economically viable management of the world’s forests.
